After 15 years of scraping and saving, Garage Woolery was able to put down a deposit for an Ariel Atom in December 2005. The Garage made the Atom functional in August of 2006, and it was registered for the road in January 2007. It was the first all black Atom made in the United States, and one of only a couple of Atoms that are built to be ambidexterous (it can be configured to be either left or right hand drive). In this pic, Mr. Woolery dressed up as Darth Vader for fun and a Linhberg Nguyen did a photoshoot…the result was 15 minutes of internet fame and hilarity!

I am an Atom enthusiast from the other side of the pond. The carbon side panels look great – can you tell me where you go them from? Many thanks!
A friend of mine made them for me. They are not commercially available, sorry.
NIce Atom, I’m from the Netherlands and have the exact same car, original black/yellow, now matched like yours all black! It’s a uk spec supercharged.
I will be in LA the second week of june, is it possible, logical and fun to drop by, or is garage Woolery not meant for drop by’s?
Cheers Roy
Sure! Just let us know a few days before you’re due to arrive and we’ll make arrangments for a visit.
ah that’s great! I’ll let you know when I know our travelling route. I actually have your Darth Vader pic as my screensaver for a long time now and it was the inspiration for my all flat black Atom.
I also read a lot online about the garage and it’s a pitty they don’t have places like yours over here…
cheers Roy
